For father's day, Patrick, Denis, Rose, and I went to Revelstoke. About a 3 hour drive to get there with various stops. We stopped in Armstrong to get some squeaky cheese, then spent half the day at Skytrek just before Revelstoke.
The Skytrek courses are aranged from green, to blue, to black, and by the time you get to black, you really feel the difference. The two boys completed the entire thing. Rose had the decency to stop when she was done at the start of the black runs. I pushed myself too far past exhaustion, and got stuck hanging from 30 feet in the air in the middle of one of the black-level rope challenges. Was not a pretty sight!
Had dinner in Revelstoke, and on the way back we stopped at Last Spike, where the West and East railroads finally met in 1885. And of course ice cream for dessert in Sicamous before the long ride back home.
Thanks, guys, for a great Father's Day outting!
