As far as I can tell, this is a cat-faced orb spider. A Google search gives me these potentially names:

In the first picture, it is holding tightly onto a bee or wasp that it had obviously caught. Also note the spinneret in this picture.

From what I found (and assuming it is indeed a cat-faced orb spider), they're not dangerous. Though I still wouldn't pick it up.
