I cannot sit still for 2 minutes! I finished the bunk bed project and the very next day embarked on something else.

My neighbour Curtis gave me a great idea for storage in the attic. So I picked up some stairs at Home Depot, and immediately got to work:

• Friday: An exhaust vent needed to be moved about 24" as it was in the way of where the stairs will go.
• Saturday: Electricity has been brought into the attic, so I now have a motion sensor, an electrical plug, and a light.
• Sunday: The hole for the stairs has been cut. Beware the instructions -- the paper that came with the stairs walk you through the installation process, but lists the wrong size for the opening. I'm glad I thought to double check with the actual stairs prior to cutting the opening in the ceiling!
• Monday: The stairs are in and I've started building myself a little path to where I need to get in the attic.
• Saturday: I started building the shelves.
• Sunday: extended the walkway.
• Monday: two of the 6 shelves are built.
• Tuesday: installed a new light and started on the 3rd shelf
• Wednesday: more shelves finished, last shelf started
• Thursday: all 6 shelves (only three in that picture) are finished, all the railings are finished; the attic project is done!
• Tuesday: glued the ceiling piece I'd cut onto the bottom of the stairs (wow...after all these years, I finally found a use for Adobe's Flex/Actionscript)

I need to install some trim and this project will be completely finished. (See April 2010.)
