Time to rebuild the deck. The old one is 140 square feet. The new one will be nearly 600 square feet.

• Here is how it looked before I started taking it apart.
• Note how the wood is rotten.
• The deck, railings, and stairs have been removed. (See the snow on the ground? We were surprised by an unusually late snow on April 19.)
• Took 2 trips to the landfill, but the area is now cleaned up.

In the coming days, I'll be digging 3 holes for 3 new columns, pouring cement, and attaching new ledgers to the wall of the house.
