I went on a 1-week business trip to Amsterdam at the end of the month. I was there from June 24 to July 1, helping out at a customer site. I'd never been to Europe before, so this was quite an experience.

Some highlights:

• the very small cars seem to be quite popular
• the palace at Dam Square
• some old castle built in 1488 now known as "Restaurant-Café In De Waag"
• pictures of the infamous red light district (#1, #2)
• and the canals that traverse Amsterdam (#1, #2)
