I finally hiked the Lions! I've been waiting to do this ever since Kat bought me that hiking book for Christmas last year. The trail is quite difficult, rated second only to Wedgemount.

Unfortunately, what was supposed to be a clear day started out very cloudy. When I reached the first ridge, I got a glimpse of West Lion before the clouds moved back in. Nevertheless, I kept hiking to the summit, and had to wait more than 2 hours before I got to see West Lion again. Sometime between 13:30 and 14:00, the clouds lifted for long enough to get a beautiful view of Howe Inlet, the West Lion and East Lion, as well as Lion's Bay and the ridge I'd hiked all morning.

Note the number of bugs on the ridge. Very annoying. You can see them buzzing around my face and landing on the camera lens while I was trying to get decent pictures.
