Took 3 attempts, but I finally made it out to Dog Mountain. The first time I went, back in November 1999, there was so much fog I could barely tell I was standing on a cliff when I got to the end of the trail.

When we tried again, in July 2000, there was too much snow on the trail, so we never made it to the cliff.

But obviously we made it out there this time. And not only is there a great view of the lower Fraser valley and the North Shore mountains, but the chipmunks, gray jays, and a few blue jays, made for a fun time handing out peanuts on the cliff.

Be sure to look at the panorama view I pasted together from 4 images.
